Sketch of the Day: Trellis #woodworking #chiefsshop

A trellis or an arbor (tomay-to, tomah-to). This one I’ll probably make for a grapevine I’m cultivating.

Sketch of the Day: Cucumber Trellis

I’d love to give this concept a try – my cucumbers are spreading like crazy. This is simply some slats across the frames and then chicken wire or fencing across the slats.

Sketch of the Day: A-Frame Trellis

For this A-frame trellis concept, I would add a hinge at the top, or develop a way to temporarily attach them.

Sketch of the Day: Straw Bale Planter

This planter concept offers space for a straw bale, which has become popular as a substrate for planting. The trellis area provides structure for climbing plants.

Sketch of the Day: Mobile Trellis

This trellis concept could be moved between seasons and taken apart to store during the winter. I worked it up while creating some concepts for a client.
