A unique outdoor chair design. Three legs (rather than four) reduces “wobble”.

Sketch of the Day: Modern Chair

I’ve had a fascination with three-legged chairs for a while, so I may finally create a plan for one. In the meantime, here’s a concept for one I simply label a modern chair.

Sketch of the Day: Chair

This three-legged modern chair would only require some skill in cutting the back leg. Beyond that, it would actually be a rather simple build.

The back leg gives a comfortable 15-degree angle and supports a 15-inch-wide back rest. The nice technical aspect of a three-legged design is that it eliminates the wobble that plagues so many beginner and intermediate woodworkers when building chairs and tables.
