The seat for this storage bench concept would flip up just before the back seat slat. A continuous (piano) hinge would be used.

This bath bench concept is a companion piece to the bath storage tower from yesterday and includes some the same design features. That top has room for a cushion, and there’s ample storage in the three cubbies underneath – perfect for towels.

Plan of the Week: Shoe Bench
The Chief’s Shop Shoe Bench is ideal for an entry/foyer, mud room, garage, bedroom, or hallway. Have a seat, take off your shoes, and place them on the shelf. A table saw, miter saw, jigsaw, drill/driver, and Kreg Jig are needed to complete it.

This bench design is working off the design from yesterday’s side table and from a few suggestions. Shoes could be stored on the shelf, which is why I call this a shoe bench. I show two sizes here. Thanks to Jalet Farrell for the suggestion!

This country storage bench has been turned into a plan for Sam Leplat, who was selected to receive a custom plan at the 750 like level for Chief’s Shop on Facebook. Sam sent me an image of a project he’d like to make, and this is the result. Sorry, the plan is for Sam’s eyes only!
