I, along with my three boys, completed a fire pit this weekend. Even with all the outdoor seating projects I’ve designed and built over the years, my oldest son felt the need for something different. This fire pit stool concept is my first stab at a stool design just for him.

The Chief’s Shop Garden Work Stool is perfect for those long days working in the garden when stooping low and squatting is a necessity. Save your knees and back by building this simple, sturdy, and long-lasting project
Lumber required includes: 5/4 x 6 decking, and 2x6sOverall dimensions: 30 inches wide x 16 1/2 inches deep x 16 inches high
You’ll need a miter saw, drill driver, and Kreg Jigto build it.

The Chief’s Shop Club Chair Stool is a companion project to the Club Chair. This can either be used to prop up your feet, as a seat in its own right, or as a short side table.
Lumber required includes: a 2×4, a 2×6, and a 5/4×6 decking. Overall dimensions: 22 1/2 inches wide x 22 1/16 inches deep x 17 3/16 inches high

The Chief’s Shop Bath Stool could work for kids needing a little boost, for mom and dad to sit while bathing the kids, or as a small table by the tub. Lumber required includes a 2×4, 1×8, and 1-inch dowel. Overall dimensions: 20 inches wide x 14 1/2 inches deep x 14 5/16 inches high (at the arms).
