Instead of creating a pile on the floor, this shoe stand concept would organize utility footwear in either a garage or mudroom. That spaces between the slats would allow dirt and debris to pass through.

We have shoe emergencies in my house. Everyone (yours truly excluded) piles their shoes in one specific area, which I of course have to wade through. A shoe organizer like this would be a big help!
