Plan of the Week: Hall Bench

Place this bench in a hall (as its name implies), foyer, mudroom, or at the end of a bed.

The Chief’s Shop Hall Bench project looks a bit more complicated than it really is. The legs do require a bit of patience, but if you are scared to cut the curves along the edge and at the bottom, you can simply skip those steps – the ends are 15-degree angles.

My usual tool suspects are needed to complete it – table saw, miter saw, jig saw, drill driver, and Kreg Jig. It’s all 2x4s unless you decide to cut the Leg Stretchers from 2x2s rather than ripping them from the 2x4s.

The legs on this bench concept extend at a 15-degree angle. The legs also feature an inside arc similar to a feature I’ve used on other concepts.
