A bench concept for a foyer or entryway. It could also work well as an outdoor bench for a porch, deck, or patio.

Chief
An entry bench concept that features storage and high sides and back. Similar in design to yesterday’s bookcases and desk concept.

A bench to go with the “ready for school” stand from yesterday. It would also work well as an entry bench or mudroom bench.

I have this concept in mind for when kids come home from school and plop down their backpacks and gear. There’s quite a bit of storage underneath, and jackets could be slung over the back.

As its name implies, this bench would be for a foyer or entryway. Good for dropping off bags, jackets, or slipping out of shoes.

The Chief’s Shop Entry Storage Bench is perfect for this time of year, as kids are headed back to school and need a little spot to toss their bags and random things after school. This requires my usual project tool list (table saw/circular saw, miter saw, jig saw, Kreg Jig), but you’ll either need a straightedge guide (for a circular saw), such as the Kreg Rip-Cut, or my Crosscut Sled (for a table saw).
