Tailgating Game Time: Cornhole or Bean Bag Toss #woodworking #tailgating

Tailgating game time!

Click on this image to access a plan I created for Lowe’s Creative Ideas for Woodworkers magazine a few years ago. I can’t find the link online, so I recreated it on this page. Links are available at the end of the right-hand column to download the cutting diagram and figures referenced in the instructions.

You’ll also see quick instructions for playing and for creating the bags.

Don’t give me a hard time about the name – call it one or the other. 😉

Sketch of the Day: “Ready For School” Bench #woodworking

A bench to go with the “ready for school” stand from yesterday. It would also work well as an entry bench or mudroom bench.

I’m thinking shoes, etc., on the bottom shelf, backpack or messenger back on the middle shelf, and anything else on the top.

Sketch of the Day: Harvest Crate #woodworking

Vegetables are still coming in, so I thought this concept was timely.

Plan of the Week: Patio Chair

Place the Chief’s Shop Patio Chair on a patio as the name implies, or on a deck, front porch, or anywhere in your yard. Build a set to use for outdoor dining or around a fire pit.

My usual tool suspects are needed to complete it – table saw or circular saw, miter saw, jig saw, drill driver, and Kreg Jig HD or a regular Kreg Jig. It’s made from 5/4×6 deck boards, a 2x8s, and  4x4s.

Sketch of the Day: Niche Bench #woodworking

There are always odd nooks and niches that need a little something. This bench concept could fit into just such a small space, or be used at a vanity or end of a bed.
