This concept outdoor bench would work along a hiking trail or a path through a botanical garden.

My favorite projects to create are those with more than one purpose. The Chief’s Shop Work Stool/Tote combines a stool (for seating and a leg up when working on a project), an emergency workbench, and a tote. It’s a super-quick project designed to built using a miter saw, jig saw, drill/driver and the Kreg Jig®.

This concept is from a recent request on my Facebook page. I was asked for a simplified version of a table that could hold containers of ice and drinks in the center. The center simply features an opening with a slatted bottom where various containers can fit to hold ice, drinks, and refuse from meals of crab, lobster, clams, or crawfish.
If this were to become a plan, I would want to add a panel for the center that would stay in place when the opening isn’t in use and allow for a continuous table top.

This concept came out of several design ideas for vertical planters. These would not be connected, and ideally would border a garden area, and perhaps would have planted in them companion plants for the garden plants. Or, it could simply be used for decorative plants to add layers of color.

This concept is in response to a Facebook request. I simply took two of the outdoor niche chairs from yesterday and joined them with a table in between.

I had in mind for this outdoor chair concept a tucked away spot where a mom could get away and enjoy some peace while reading a book. The arms are broad enough to allow for a drink or a place to rest a book or tablet.

For this family patio dining table concept, I borrowed the leg design from my recent firepit bench project, and a couple of features from my family outdoor table project. This design may become my new outdoor dining table, as I keep getting hints from the wife that I’d better hurry up and build one (like I promised a while back).

The Chief’s Shop Garden Side Table can be used as table between chairs in the garden/yard, or on a deck or patio. It could even work as a side table for a grill. A miter saw, jig saw, drill/driver, Kreg Jig, a few 2x4s are all you need to build it.
