The Chief’s Shop Assembly Bench would add a large (roughly 4 x 6) work surface to your shop. It’s a bit lower than a workbench to allow you to assemble projects (hence the name) in relative comfort. A table saw/circular saw, miter saw, jigsaw, drill driver, and Kreg Jig are needed to complete it.

This is an awesome assembly table, nice size can height be changed by making uprights on ends longer? I have a kreg 3 but not much success in making good joints not sure what am doing wrong, what do l need to do to make this bench with just wood screws or leg bolts better.
Thanks for this and your many dozens of awesome free plans for me being disabled on a limited $ 729.00 a month disability pension since 1988 for multiple health problems this opens doors to making awesome furniture and shop needed items thanks so much.

Jim:
Thanks! Increase the length of all the vertical pieces to reach the height you want (remember the plywood for the divider section). I designed this as a pocket hole project, so you may have some issues building it another way. There’s always mortise and tenon or dowels. You can try lag screws, but I couldn’t guarantee how well that will work going through the feet and into the legs.
Good luck, and look for more free plans every week!
