Plan of the Week: Shop Steps

I use a set of steps for many different functions in the shop, from a little stool to a boost when I need to reach a tall project. The Chief’s Shop Shop Steps project is perfect for these needs. There are even a couple of shelves in the back for a bit of storage.

My usual tool suspects are needed to complete it – table saw or circular saw, miter saw, jig saw, drill driver, and Kreg Jig.

Sketch of the Day: Pie/Cake Carrier

I like to honor reader requests, so I worked up this pie-cake carrier concept as requested. The shelves are removable to allow for the tall cake. The front frame has a removable acrylic sheet panel.
