Plan of the Week: Mobile Clamp Stand

The  Chief’s Shop Clamp Stand adds a great deal of organization to small shops. Large, small, locking – a wide variety of clamps can be stored in and on it. Casters on the bottom make it perfect for keeping clamps close at hand.

My usual tool suspects are needed to complete it – table saw or circular saw, miter saw, jig saw, drill driver, and Kreg Jig.

Sketch of the Day: Double Bookcases

This concept is a draft for a custom job. The client wanted to match an existing piece (the curved top and legs), but wanted the cases to fit a specific space. Being for a 2nd floor home office with a several tight turns en route, I had to design these as separate pieces that the client could take apart and move as desired. Another option was to make the top as a third piece to be added after the cases were assembled.
