No-Cut Bench

I’ve been wanting to create a project that required no cutting AND had a little bit of style and function to it. Meet the No-Cut Bench.

Yes, I’m a bench fanatic. I do more bench sketches than anything else. And so it seems that some of the more popular plans are for seating.

What you’ll need: (11) 1 x 3 x 2s, (11) 1 x 3 x 4s, a drill/driver, a Kreg Pocket Hole Jig, a box of 1 1/4″ pocket hole screws, and glue – no saw required. (What you don’t see in the drawing below are three stretchers that help support the seat slats.)

Chief’s Shop video anyone?

I’ll be getting back to shooting videos in the coming weeks and I’d like to know what you want to see and how often.

Weekly or monthly? Do you want more videos of skills/steps or whole projects – or an equal combination of the two? Head over to my YouTube channel to see a few I’ve posted in the past.

Shoot me an e-mail with your thoughts – chief@chiefs-shop.com.
